I've been a mason for 10 years, my father is a past master with over 30 years as a mason. I don't know what lodge or state your father was from, but I have never heard of a mason turning his back on a "brother", or his family. That's not the way it works. I meet driver's all the time that are brother's. There is a ton of them out there. You should have talked to the master or to any of the mason's on the numerous committee's that each lodge has. If that failed go through the grand lodge of your state. I'm sorry you had that experience.

correct, alot of masons do it for recognition. They are my brothers and when I meet brothers on the road or at truck stops it is always an positive experience. There are many masons that are truckers.

I guess total ignorance on your part. It is a faternal organization, not a union for brick layers. There is a lot that makes up a mason. We will not solicit you to join the fraternity. You will have to seek that out on your own. But from reading your post, no sense in me wasting my time trying to explain it to you. If you petioned my lodge I have to black ball you on the voting. Sorry, truth hurts sometimes. It really does piss me off when people make up lies about the masonic lodge and actually have no clue what it is. I guess that the secrets of freemasons drive people crazy. I know as a child I would see my father go off to lodge and other masonic functions and always wondered what they did. He told me I would have to join when I got older to truly find out. I can say I was nervous, skeptical and not sure what I was getting into. After 10 years I don't regret the move at all. Some of the nicest people I have ever met are mason's. Everyone thinks that there is a unwritten code about favors, such is not the case. You treat all persons fairly. I could ramble on for days about the brotherhood but it will never change your mind. The way i see it you have already judged us.dawgfan Thanks this. -
You are correct. It is a conversation starter. There is also a lot of law enforcement that are masons as well. Also if I see a poor, distraught brother on the side of the road broke down when I'm in my personal vehicle ( I have to stop to all when working) I will do whatever I can to help him out. My father, a few years ago, was on the side of the road broke down on the interstate. He's a shriner as well, past master of blue lodge and involved in the York Rite. He has all the emblems on his vehicle. Three other brothers pulled over to offer assistance. I remember as a child I would ask why he put the emblems on his vehicle? He always mentioned "If I break down, there will be a brother that will stop and offer his help." #### the old man proved me wrong again, everything he every told me always comes true. Most people will never understand what the faternity is about, and that truly is what makes it special.Seanhay386 Thanks this.

I agree with you diesalbear. It's sad that people tend to judge what they have no idea about. It makes no sense when all you simply have to do is ask. I'm a master mason and I have no regrets about it
Seanhay386 Thanks this. -
a man is a mason before he joins a lodge. If you understand that then you will understand the fraternity.
