The company saved money giving you a Greyhound Bus Ticket now instead of later. Believe me, I know whereof I speak.
Brush up, get your attitude straight and get back on the horse and try it again somewhere else.
Mayday Mayday! Don't go to May Trucking or do I don't care Ha

Who would want to work for a company that excepts you to be on time. I will be there when I get ready and they best like it!

This thread has me so stressed out, I think I might just get 4 or 5 pounds of the good green and chill for awhile.

So you had trouble backing too. You lost your paper license also..well.... Looks like you need to hit the reset button and start over, doesn't sound like Mays fault. Good luck, good thing trucking companies desperately need driversTurkeyisLife Thanks this.

I don't understand what you mean by " I didn't pass the book test". Anyhow, I have been OTR for 34 years and from day 1, I have always let the companies know- 'you need me, I don't need you'. Sounds like you failed to thoroughly check those idiots out and ask more questions before going there, but I understand that sometimes all the questions and checks don't tell the whole story.
I would suggest to anyone starting out in trucking to go with a small 2-10 truck, or small family owned company. They seem to be more tolerant and understanding than larger companies from my experience. Never let a company think you are desperate, and put yourself in a position where you are not-financially. I would say to find a small company on craigslist under 'transport' as there are many small companies across the country looking for drivers and some that will train you if you give them a good honest story. There are many other local jobs where you can get class A experience.
On many trucking sites and even on this site, you are reading a lot of nonsense from sensless people-not good professional advice. If you read thousands of comments here, you can see many are just smart-mouthed people being smart-don't waste you time on this and those peoples' advice. If you want good advice-go to a truckstop and scout-out what you think is and old school driver, an older driver who looks professional, neatly dressed, has been driving 30-40 years and ask advice about trucking, jobs and life itself.Attached Files:

Yeah, inquiring minds want to know! I'm a 'man of the world' and the term sounds rude, lewd and crude to me...
