Because it’s a step deck, what length is it?

I will run only General RA's on my spreads (they are Continental's, but a little cheaper). The wear perfect, ride perfect. I have 11R 22.5's and 295's on 6 different trailers.

I have a Fontaine Infinity (hybrid) and a MAC. Both are 53ft step configured nearly identical with ramps, boxes and gear. My MAC is only 950lbs lighter than my Fontaine. But it's very well built trailer.

Have plans to replace my Fontaine next year with another MAC.

Different configurations, options, lengths etc are going to change the weight.

Can use this as a basis to compare the difference between a MAC and a Fontaine combo.

2013 Fontaine Infinity 53' combo step deck. Rear axle slides.
11ft upper deck. 43ft lower deck on 22.5 aluminum wheels with 255/70 tires.
Has chain pull outs, HD Ramps kit, 2 boxes, 4 nailers on the deck.
TARE weight 11,400 lbs. (As new from Fontaine)
NET weight in my configuration and gear - 13,280 lbs.

2018 MAC 53' all aluminum step deck. Fixed length,.. no sliding axle.
11ft upper deck, 43ft lower deck on 22.5 aluminum wheels with 255/70 tires.
Chain pulls, HD Ramps kit with reinforced rear plate and rear deck has inner braced aluminum barstock extensions to the frame. Deck has 2 nailers and 2 side boxes.
TARE weight - 10,400lbs (As new from MAC)
NET weight in my configuration, tools and gear is 12,320 lbs.

    Common gear between both trailers.
8 hardwood 4x4 dunnage with some assorted shorter pieces under the frame. Spare tire and wheel under the lower deck by the step. 12 spools, 6 ratchets, 8 coil racks. 6 20ft 3/8 chains, 4 20ft 5/16 chains, spare straps, 2 boxes of spare bungee, assorted edge protectors, 3 bags of unused tire chains (2 chains in each bag if I remember correctly. Assorted wood blocks and wedges, 2 come-alongs, 4 pipe stakes, 2 26x24 lumber tarps with flaps and 1 26x16 steel tarp with flap, 8 wheel straps, Walmart tub with assorted lubricants, sprays, probably some Vice grips and other crescent wrenches and tools mixed in.

Both trucks have more chains, binders and coil dunnage on the headache racks. Heavy,.. but better to have and not need has kept me rolling.
