But you have to remember that
So the US is no longer a sovereign nation in some opinions.....

(That's all I'm saying, don't want to get into a debate)

So because you donate to a select few that gives you the right to dictate who gets aid and who doesn't...

When was the last time you gave to someone outside of this country?

No it doesn't give me the right to dictate who gets aid or and who doesn't, I never implied that it did. If you want to give aid to other countries, I'm not trying to stop you. It's your money, do with it what you want. I'm saying the gov't shouldn't dictate where my charity goes. I'm saying the gov't shouldn't provide aid at the cost of our own citizens. Why should we provide aid to people that are in this country illegally while we have our own citizens that are homeless and living out of garbage cans?

    How is that relevant?

That is true. God has no flag. But our Gov't does and it should provide for the citizens under that flag before it provides for people that aren't. Especially when it's the money from the people under that flag that they are distributing.

Kenmar, I agree with you. In our home we also give and often it's sacrificially. We give to both U.S. and overseas needs but it's our choice. I think that it should be our choice and not a political move by the government. Let's face it, the government is not sending aid due to compassionate love, it's political manipulation. Plus, it's very clear that we're to care for our own before caring for others.

Also it causes me to wonder about the concept of claiming that the government should send aid because "God doesn't have a flag" and how that relates to keeping religion out of government. I'm puzzled about that mixed message.

I'm not.... but since we both just got back from our "little vacation" I'll be polite and just say (IMHO) that it's meant to be a "motivation" or an "instigation" for a debate in which I won't participate.

It doesn't! You can give to any charity you want!

Who are you to decide who's in more need!

I can't argue that... We should give to both!

    A. because I'd like to know!

    B. because you are saying our government shouldn't give to people outside this country, so full disclosure would be nice!

Governments aren't people and they can take care of it themselves!

My money is used to distribute as well, so why is your opinion greater then mine?

Such nice people those Mexicans such lovely lovely people. Out there working hard everyday to put FOOD on their families just like Jorge Bush said . Wow man this thread has really warmed my heart . Mexico must be such a nice place to live all those people coming into the United States Illegally must be so eager to come here they dont want to take the time to show anybody Identification at those long long border lines so they'll just go around . No problem " my friend " And hey THEY'RE just trying to make money . How dare us tax paying citizens fight to keep freight above 10 cents a mile ...We dont need to eat or anything ..hell most think we could lose a few lbs. I mean #### im probablly a racist for even wanting to know who's in the country . I mean illegals would never commit any crimes inside the United States then run back to their native Mexico ..they're just here to make a living for THEIR FAMILIES ! Be sure to stop by our lovely hospitals and get that 10 year pesky back issue straightend out before heading back to Mexico ..what the hell pm me i'll give you my social security number in another 5 years it wont be worth a #### anyways .

    • Has there ever been a documented case where American citizens Illegally entered Mexico; worked the jobs that "Mexicans won't do"; held out their hands for welfare and free medical benefits; demanded free education for them and their children; and demanded that the national language Spanish, be changed to English?
    • Has there ever been a documented case where an American Illegal gunned down a law enforcement officer and escaped back to the US where he was hailed as a national hero?- In 2002, Deputy David March was executed by Illegal alien/Gang member Armando Garcia. He fled back to Mexico where he was given a hero's welcome. The US justice dept. attempted to extradite Garcia only to have the Mexican government block it. Mexico would only agree to the extradition if Garcia would not receive the "death penalty or life imprisonment".
Not to say all Mexicans are bad people. In fact, what we we mainly see in the US standing at the Home Depot, are the poor who the Mexican government would let starve. Until Mexicans wake up and kick out their Drug Lord controlled government, they will continue to send their very worst to El Norte to become a heavy burden on the US taxpayer....what else is new? The American taxpayer has been supporting the rest of the world and sending its sons and daughters to fight the world's wars and injustices since the beginning of the 20th century.
No other nation has sacrificed so much, and yet is only appreciated when it sends the money out to support the rest of the world.

It so much easier to suckle off the American teat than to join the modern self-sustaining world of the 21st century.
