Took that into consideration until I noticed his slight increase in speed and the fact that he was actively moving to the left. The speed increase was almost imperceptible until I started watching the hash lines.
who is wrong in this? why?

She is at fault, she initiated contact. He was fully established in the lane. He could have slowed to let her in but she was also making a dangerous move into a tight space in a car with very dark tinted windows. I would have cited her for failure to yield right of way or improper lane change if I watched that video.
mjd4277, Grumppy and Warrior Cat Thank this. -
Don't know the outcome of the aftermath. If she was cited I am reasonably certain he would be destroyed in a civil suit.shogun Thanks this.

Just read where she received multiple citations on YouTube. There goes any chance at winning a suit.Grumppy and Maj. Jackhole Thank this.

I'm not trying to say that this driver didn't see the car and done what he was supposed to. I was just pointing out something that seems to me has been forgotten by some people (I've seen it on other threads as well).Maj. Jackhole Thanks this.

I watched the video, and I believe they are in Texas. According to Texas statute 545.060 the operator can only make a lane change when safe to do so. Even if the truck doesn’t speed up, she is leaving no room for the vehicle in front of her or him behind. At 60 mph, she would need at least fifty to sixty feet from the rear of the car in front, which she clearly doesn’t have.
Truth be told, he should have just let her dum#### over, but she is at fault. -
I'm with you on this.
I'm uh truckin dude, drivin me a Big Truck, flappin mah lips in the telephone, oblivious to the world around me, not a care in the world. I'm uh truckin dude, strokes and heart attacks not stoppin me fo nuthin. I'm uh truckin dude, DOT put me 'out of service' cause dey no nuthin. I'm uh truckin dude, employer won't answer the phone and I don't have uh dime to my name. I'm uh truckin dude, gots me uh big truck..... -
Doesnt matter who was wrong, something like that happening is bad news for a truck driver.
06driver Thanks this. -
In some jurisdictions she would be arrested and charged with reckless driving/endangerment. This was a classic case of someone who didn’t want to be stuck behind a semi and she tried to force her way in knowing that the truck was already established in the passing lane to get past the flatbed.shogun Thanks this.

Stupid trucker, he failed to holder across that bumper. Ive done that several times (Not in the hammer lane like that idiot. Watching that video Im yelling back off Mr Red then Im yelling holder. (Across the bumper just so. Don't take pressure off that car and spin her under that flatbedder to right (Who instantly did what he had to far right to maybe save her life as she spun off the red corner into the middle.)
And at the same time, Stupid woman in car number two.
Both are wrong. One will be ticketed for failure following distance (Trucker) and the other will get some form of ticket as well at least something. Then both end up in court later fight over the damages.
Once the company finds out about this Mr Red will be here writing about a possibility of finding work.
My pa always says it takes two dummies to dance and make a mess, a royal mess. THIS is one video that made a mess of it all.
Stupid red, dumb impatient woman. So typical.
The first thing I did in the two seconds into the video was assess the following distance is about a second. Way too #### close. Flatbedder is minding his time and rolling easy. Mr RED obviously is not doing well and when you throw in idiot number two well. we have a royal mess today.
That second and third perhaps the 4th thump thump thump as it spun off that corner I was preparing myself for that lady to go under the spreads on that flat to the right. Flat did correct and really fast. Stomped it too.
If you get in the hurry, BACK off. You aint gonna get there a hour faster. It's the other way around if at all.
This concludes my classic table thumping rant. What a video.
If there is ANY redemption left in that little old lady, I hoped she squealed really good and scared riding that bumper. Don't do that again next time stupid. (And it's equally against Mr Red.)Maj. Jackhole Thanks this.
