How 'bout moose traffic? Caribou traffic? :^) Up in Newfoundland there's a sign with how many moose/caribou collisions there have been so far.
Jazz1 Thanks this. -
Oh dude, those sketchy neighborhoods haha. They'd send me down to Oakland Coliseum at 2AM. Hegenberger Road, Oakland CA. Great times, I thought I should have worn a Kevlar vest but I'm sure that does nothing to stop a knife attack. The non-homeless people suck equally down in those parts. Had to stand there with my pull bar looking like I just got out the joint and would beat a fool into a bloody pulp and straight down into oblivion. Did fuel delivery for 2.5 years. It is prestigious, you get a lot of respect driving that thing. But I'm just looking at pay, schedule, and benefits now. I don't want to worry about getting stabbed by bums in downtown Stockton at 3:30AM, while, at the same time, verifying if that blue product tag is Mid Grade or Regular. It's a careful balancing act of checking the tags with your left hand, while, at the same time, fending off violent crackheads with your right hand. The most difficult thing I've had to do with line haul is hook up a converter dolly.
It was pretty awesome cruising the i5 on a perfectly clear night. About an hour into it, I was able to see Fresno skyline glistening off in the very far distance. I think I5 is a good 30 miles from Fresno; it looked so far away, I couldn't even make out buildings. But I knew just by geography, in the vast nothingness between Sacramento and Bakersfield, this particular sight had to be Fresno. Had that view for a good solid 45 minutes, and I want to say officially, the best way to view Fresno is from a very far distanceBob Dobalina Thanks this. -
I thought that road looked a little too clean. You're in Canada? I got deported from Canada when trying to enter Blaine, WA. Something about an old misdemeanor. It was the best experience ever, I never thought the law enforcement officer was going to shoot me repeatedly for "reaching." Nice people, they didn't tear my vehicle up at secondary. But I deliberately turned both of our cell phones off and left them in the car. When we got back, both cell phones were on and seem to have been accessed. They gave me a wonderful little paper, saying, "Allowed to Leave Canada." Now I gotta shell out the ca$h for a TRP

2-4 moose getting drilled each night on my stretch this time of year. Few more weeks they will settle down -
With my toddler climbing into bed every night and an infant on the way, might not be that bad running nights. At least when they are all out at the playground during the day I can finally get some sleep lol.

Try ABF out of Londenderry, N.H.
Only drawback there is terminal manager, Phil B (unless a very thoughtful gentleman was finally successful in getting Mr. B booted; better than getting his ### beat out in the parking lot).Last edited by a moderator: Jun 16, 2018

When I was up in Newfoundland, someone told me that moose aren't native there, that some stupid human loaded moose on a ship and took them to The Rock.
Sadly believable even if it isn't true. :^)
The best thing would have been if the moose had run riot and sank the whole works with all hands lost, but no, they made it.
