Could a converter dolly be rigidly attached the rear of a 28'pup trailer, much the same way it would be attached the rear of a tractor, thus essentially converting a twin trailer set into a B-train?
For a company like ours who almost exclusively uses doubles for linehaul, this would save a hell of a lot of time.
Let's just sit down, analyze and discuss this.

Nevermind. This is a better idea:
i think the first LTL company to use these will have a tremendous advantage.
If i was in charge, things would be different.TripleSix Thanks this. -
I do not see any large company buying these . You would have issues with not having the trailer with the second hook , till all trailers are traded out .

Unlikely. Hooking sets & trains is not that hard. Even in a gravel yard at night while it's raining. if you need to back up for those "certain occasions" use a chain. I perfer B trains. They are just better in every aspect.

C-trains have been around for years. Shopko runs a bunch out of Boise, at least they used to. I haven’t paid attention to them for a while.

The C looks like it could be a pain to hook ! Both hooks and eyes would need to be perfect?

Its not that hard to hook a set. Those setups look like more work and a pain
