Yes but if you can pass the eye exam without you will not have a restriction on your medical card.tscottme, NavigatorWife, Buster Churry and 1 other person Thank this.
-
i believe if you wear them for the test you will have the restriction on your license and be required to wear them driving, if you can pass without them i wouldnt wear them.
tscottme, Buster Churry, rabbiporkchop and 2 others Thank this. -
I would need them to pass.

In reality this is non sequitur in regard to your situation. If you have a vision correction correction on your CDL you are going to be required to have them on while driving anyway. When I was an active driver my last few years I wore disposable soft contact lenses. if I had wanted to I guess I could have faked it. I always read off the letters and the colors told the tech I was wearing contacts and went on in the exam room.

then yes you can wear them, you will have the restriction on your license which means you have to be wearing them while driving. make sure if you get pulled over or go thru a weigh station you are wearing them.NavigatorWife, localguy65 and Diesel Dave Thank this.

Then wear them. I could not have passed without my corrective lenses either. You will have a lense restriction on your CDL. When you are out driving, have a backup pair with you in case anything happens to your primary pair.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

This is absolutely correct. I have a friend that was driving west through New Mexico when the sun was setting, he had his non prescription sunglasses on when a trooper pulled him over. He switch back to his prescription glasses but the trooper already had seen him with his sunglasses. Long story short.... cost him over $300.00 and time in court the same day.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
-
too bad he did not have flip up sunglass lenses.NavigatorWife and Diesel Dave Thank this.

Yep, but Wal-Mart and others sell sunglasses that go over eyeglasses. About $22 If I remember right.NavigatorWife, localguy65 and Diesel Dave Thank this.
