    Is military freight typically cheap?

Do they load and secure it for you?

Ive seen “interesting” securement techniques on some of the military moves I’ve seen lately. Mostly on stepdecks from Mercer and Landstar. I only see this “securement” on military equipment... figured it’s the bases policy to load and secure it now.

Looks like it’s up to snuff as far as DOT goes... I drove through Fort Benning yesterday on the 280... bunch of those steps passed me on the 22... all of them were secured in exactly the same way and they all looked very... distinguished?

Long time ago, some of the military loads I hauled there was a supervisor that actually check to make sure you had proper securement and the right amount of supplies to go with it.

Some guys were showing up trying to chain down Humvees down with 2 5/16 chains and 2 binders. 1 guy tried using 2 chains and 2 binders and a couple straps on a oshkosh HEMETT 977. I think we all know none of that is gonna fly out on the big road.

So yes, they tell the idiot's to either stop being an idiot or leave with no load, lol.

@1951 ford do you ever go to Pratt and eat out? When we were on the harvest run in that area we wood grab burger and fries to go from Woody's bar and grill. It was awesome food! I'm not sure if it still exists or not but sure miss that place.
