What company you work for : this will effect you pay rate, your miles and what loads you tend to do. My average miles per one way trip was around 690 return makes it 1380 x .32 c per mile double that gets 2760 per week x 32.c average $883 gross per week. For first year.

.32 - .40cpm!! Companies still pay that low holy crap. I make .66 cpm and I'm home everyday... I run a small 1900 mile route and I'm making 80k

I guess so, I work for a great company and I'm compensated pretty darn well. Just assumed these OTR companies started paying better since I got my CDL 7 years ago

Well... To try and get back on topic I'm hopeful my 2nd year in LTL will get me 100k home daily. Top four drivers at my terminal all make over 100k home daily, im just waiting for a bigger run to come up.

So, you're saying the OP should expect to make $0.66 a mile in his second year? ;-)

Home daily and 80k a year? Wow, that's pretty impressive for sure.

If the OP gets a job with an LTL company yes, that is realistic. Most LTLs only require one year of experience.

Now the home daily aspect will certainly be up in the air depending on terminal but worst case scenario is out 5 days home 2 staying in hotels rather than in the bunk at a truck stop.
