How Much Hometime????

Mmmmmmm. I don't recall that.

 

Day 1 of hometime this time.

Drove 438 miles and made delivery.

Drove to Freightliner and got oil and fuel water separator so wrench can PM in the morning.

Unloaded chains at house.

 

Day 2 of hometime this time. ( So far. )

Got full PM done at 0500. Got up at 0330 to get truck to wrench by 0500.

Dropped truck at Arizona Laser Alignment to have APU serviced ( AC compressor not kicking on, and have it PM'd while they have ), and get road lamps working.

Planner couldn't stand has already booked freight.

Operations manager said since I'm at home, these tasks don't count as work, enjoy your home time.

So basically APU is trashed, except for the engine. They are basically rebuilding the system.
Be done tomorrow.

 

Day 3 of hometime this time.

Went and got Casper from Arizona Laser Alignment. APU completed as far as it can go. Condenser won't be here for another week.

Now.
Oh God Jesus.
Casper is in the hands of Freightliner of Arizona for the Criminally Insane to get the fan clutch fixed.

 

It's one of the weirdest places on earth. You can hammer nails with a Freighty, but this place just makes it all suck.

 

Day 4 of home time this time.

Casper is still at Freightliner. Getting the DPF done too. Supposed to be ready late tonight or first thing in the morning. Either way will be ok, tonight would be better.

Got glasses fixed again since Mincy jumped right directly on them in the top Cubby a few weeks ago.

Cooking the second biggest ribeye in the United States, already ate the second biggest baked potato.
