In the menus you can get advanced settings and change it to smooth nav mode also you can change how fast it re routes after passing or missing a turn. -

When they finally do get the new maps released and sent out...... they are already outdated.
since they insist on using HERE the maps are anywhere from 12-24 months old. Hell you can add an entire extension or take one out in 24 months. Rules change, speed limits, etc.
Its still a guessing game wit RM, even though they get constant - daily feedback from drivers, they refuse to use that info directly to update their own maps.
this is one of the big reasons they are dying. and it really shouldn't be a reason.
We need maps and routes that are up to date, within 30 days or less pretty much...
not 2 years old when i get it.
that is one of the 2 big reasons that the App based GPS programs are killing the market and the other is updates, features. I don't have to keep buying a new unit for $400-$500 to get the new features. it just updates on my existing, paid for it once tablet.tow614 Thanks this. -
maybe see if we can at least get the Smart Truck people to poke their heads in once in awhile to see the comments, answer questions, etc?
1) wouldn't interfere with this RM thread, which i know Mark would very much prefer
2) give everyone a place to chat, throw ideas around, get help

Hi Mark,
My TND720 has frozen up. I can press reset, which just solves it until I make an extra stop--then the unit freezes at the location of the additional stop. I have tried rebooting; I have tried running the diagnostic off the Dock....no success there, either. In fact now, when I connect the Dock, It says "Connected", but an error message on my computer tells me otherwise ("USB not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it") <that which it DID recognize earlier today> Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.
