I am a little confused about when a trainee comes back to test out for their CDL. The Millis Training Institute states that the trainee doesn't test out until the 12th week.

Weeks 5 through 12 – Trainees on the Road:
    • Trainees will be dispatched with a trainer
    • Will earn $0.42 per mile
    • Operate a truck with guidance as needed
    • Test for your CDL license using Millis equipment for the test
Which school/ terminal do you train out of?

When they say weeks 5-12 they are including the school time. School is 3wks then few days of orientation. Then 5-8 wks with a trainer to get your 15,000miles May take more just depends in you and trainer. That list of things done during wks 5-12 isnt in any order. Its just saying testing will happen sometime during wks 5-12. We arent going to send you for your test after 3wks with a trainer if the trainer doesnt feel you are ready for it. Once the trainer says you're ready to take CDL test then you schedule it. Everyone learns at different pace.

Trainers take students from any terminal. They usually try pairing us with a student near each other for hometime purposes but not always possible. My students have both came from Richfield cuz they lived within a few hrs of me.

I'm glad to see this on here... I've been trying to recommend millis to a lot of people, seems like we're not as known as some of the other companies lol

Sounds like the best one available currently. However I believe the student has to have $500 up front. Is this correct?

Yes $500 before class starts. $100 to reserve your seat in the class, and then $400 on the 1st day class begins.

    HeyDogg Thanks this.

Does anyone know if Millis is now training on autos? I really like them, but really wouldn't like to have an auto restriction on my CDL.

Why do they make you pay for a dot physical and make you take another one once you get there?
