Short distance hops and a decent person, why not? I've done so a few times in my personal vehicle when the person was going the same direction. Although they were typically riding a bicycle a long distance, had a dog with them and I usually stopped ahead to wait for them to catch up before sullying them.

As for the long distance bummers, they'd probably have better luck playing the train-hopping game. Steer clear of the railroad cops and be physically fit enough to cover the distances you can't ride on foot and you're game!!

Well, hitchhikers are sometimes nice or a ####### to us. Which mean to #### yourself or whatever. But yea, I never ever ever pick them up or talk to them because I don't know if there are nice or a ##### to me. Hitchhikers never pick them up all they will do is argue at you or cuss at you and am you need to do is leave if flick your middle finger at them.

That's one reason I shoot train videos from my pickup bed with a tripod. By the time the train crew has radio it on to the bulls, Im gone. (Like it really matters... not hard to find a big monster rusted out truck...) But one way or another I'll get my video. But I don't make too much of a effort to go where I don't belong.

One time friend offered me a once in a life time tour of the UP yard in north Little Rock and believe me I would have absolutely showed up at his office ready to learn what he had to teach. Things did not work out like that. Other things in life sometimes come up that are more important.

I hope hes doing well. The yard seems to be active well enough.

Rarely ever. Only special circumstances (like when a forest fire is burning down your town and you gotta get the F outta there). If I ever actually see someone break down or blow a tire I'll stop. At least I know I'm not being set up for a mugging.

#####bitchbithchbutching mile and mile and mile.

I tell that Mr whiner. Out. If it escalates we go from there./

EVERY one has been grateful for a ride even in a vehilce that may not get to where we are going. It would not be the first time we put away 10 miles in 4 hours on foot. Although I would not look forward to that little problem now.

Here in the south you learn to check your vehicle systematically. They are not above a little bit of stabotage now and then to keep you on your toes. This isnt the sort of thing bother the Law abiyt either.

I carried a voice acitivated recorder inside the vehicles under hood chain area and once is usually enough to spread the word.
