Lol, I have 2 swifties that sorta live by me ones an company driver been with swift going on 1 year and some odd months. The other is an owner operator, his number on his truck starts with a 9. And has a 2012 fright shaker that's been paid for off 3 years I believe last time we talked back in April.
Plus honest quest Mr conspiracy theories. What stops an OO from leaving swift if his or her truck is paid off and swift is starving him or her out of miles?

So, after five years with Swift, I *may* be going elsewhere. One of my goals is to own my own truck, and going through Incredibly Expensive Leasing isn't the way for me.
I've been talking with a guy who runs a small fleet leased to Landstar. He trains his drivers to be successful O/Os. It's an incredible opportunity to further my career. I'm not making the move quite yet, though.
We lost the Cleburne, TX Walmart account that I've been running to HUB. They are giving the new company all the loads they can handle, starving us out. So, my part time cohort and full time girl Sunni and I are going OTR on Team Hazmat for a while. -
Scipio, UT at the J.
I picked up a load in Worland, WY yesterday afternoon, delivering on Wednesday at 1000 in San Bernardino, CA..
Plenty of time so stopped in Thermopolis and slept a little later this morning.
Between snoozes this morning I had a dream that I got a message on the QC telling me to deliver the load early. I told Leann about it.
Then this afternoon I get a message on the QC telling me to get it there ASAP, the customer wants it early.
Weird , but I can get it there tomorrow afternoon without a problem.
I love 8k can loads.
On the way to pick it up I was sent a message by a planner in Troutdale asking if I would trade for another 'hot' load. I called and was told that it had to deliver at 0900 the next morning in Salt Lake City. I said no, as I would not have time for a 10.
Another driver was picking up at the same time I was, and he also got the same request and gave the same response.
He had also been sitting in Billings, MT, like me, but he sat for 3 days.
For such a hot load, the planners sure dropped the ball - letting us sit for so long when they knew we were available. And we all know that a can load out of Worland is the most likely when sitting in Billings. -

Just saw on the Kiosk in martinsburg that we’ll be able to use personal conveyance/off duty drive soon. Great news.
