The camera doesn't always record when it should. I almost had a head on collision with someone who was in my lane coming right at me. I had to veer off the road to avoid it and I know my camera went off because it said stability event but when I wanted to watch it to see it my safety Mgr couldn't find it.

Just because the pnet says an event occurred doesn't mean the camera went off, 2 different systems not tied together, that just meant the pnet recorded an event.06driver Thanks this.
-
Lytx may have deleted it because it had no "occurance" to report.
Safety only sees what they send them. -
This is a flawed system. 3rd party employee, who knows, or cares less deletes evidence/reason why you had to stand on brakes to save the life of someone who cut you off, cuz they just had to get in front of that big ole truck.
Now you are called in and written up for hard braking. -
Agreed. And have argued that point repeatedly.
The response is they are in a database just not forwarded to safety so we could request it. And that there is no accountability on hard brake reports. -
I run my own dashcam, it's saved me a couple of timesjoshuapowell61 and 06driver Thank this.

Same here.

Now we're complaining about getting written up for things we don't get written up for?
06driver Thanks this. -
Well there is a report, and we have to sign it and explain what happened. Which is annoying.
But there are no consequences by policy for having 32 in a day. Never have that many but you see my point right?
Why bother having them at all?foggy Thanks this. -
Ask the poor driver @ 7055 about it. Got a week off, anymore and they will politely show him the door
