    Can you tell me...

How are the ELD's affecting you weekly/monthly??

Any advice on how to efficiently use/manage ELD's?

It’s not affecting me in any way. The hours of service haven’t changed.

I run my logs as efficiently as I know how: keep the driver’s door closed, and get rest when you’re out of hours or not under dispatch. Skip the buffet, pack a lunch.

If you're kept busy all week long, running lots of miles, you have to think days ahead. You have to be moving when you're able to move but you need to be smart about when you start your clock. Try and avoid rush hour traffic if possible. No slacking.

Think about the now, the later today, and the tomorrow every time before you set your wake up alarm or start your 14. ELogs don't allow for many mental mistakes or shortsighted thinking like paper did.

My advice is to really trip plan, and plan your stops for the night. I recommend also if your able to get up early when I mean early I mean like 3am or 4am in the morning and get rolling that makes finding a free spot at the truck stop no problem. But if your any later than 8pm trying to find a place to park will be impossible. Like everyone else said manage your time and maximize your hours and you will be fine

How does elogs affect me daily, weekly, monthly? It doesn't....I haven't done anything different since the mandate. If a driver has bad habits using paper logs, he/she will have bad habits using elogs.

A lot of places on the east coast would be 3 p.m.

And then there are places where you'll be driving around the parking lot for 10 hours waiting for a truck to leave.
