Are you kidding me. That's prime troll food right there. Yummy yummy.

that's cuz, at every corner, there is a Mc Burger World, Mc Dunkin Donuts, Mc Pizza shops, Mc Deli shops, and Mc Snacks in every store including street vendors.
not to mention, in every grocery store, 55 gallon drums of salt and sugar can be had for cheap.NavigatorWife, deathB4decaf and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
It's on www.theonion.com also.Bank_Lbr and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Crap! I’m 190 lbs! I’m screwed! Lol

I see your point, although I’m not sure I agree that it’s the cause of the phenomenon. There are McDonald’s everywhere in the world. I think all those fast food joints are servicing a demand for cheap, crappy food and not creating the demand for it.
6 months into this year, 120,000 miles so far and I can only recall 1 instance where I went into a truck stop to buy fast food. Dead tired at 4am, I went to Subway and bought a salad.
I do, however, eat in plenty of restaurants at home but never ones that ask “and do you want fries with that?”NavigatorWife and DSK333 Thank this. -
If you do some research like a lot of medical professionals have done the last 20 years or so; there is an explanation to the increased obesity problem: high fructose corn syrup! ! In the last 50 years manufacturing our food supply has been so processed and any natural sweetener like real sugar was replaced by lower cost government subsidized high fructose sugar!NavigatorWife, peterd, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this.

i think the over abundance of cheap, fatty foods makes people go overboard either in eating all they can or adding extra "sauce" that is high in fats, starches, cholesterol. '
then too, are the portions one eats. why buy a big mac, or a whopper, when a regular sized burger can be just as filling?
yes, here in America we are fatter than most if not all other countries.
a documentary on one of the cable channels, by (i think) kevin Smith or that guy that did the GM documentary showed us all how fat we are.
this may not be the documentary but at least, here is one:
here is an HBO documentary

I have read up on this very subject, and you’re quite right. Through a series of n=1 experiments I know that I am super intolerant of all refined carbs, but even more so especially all starches and lactose containing dairy. Life without bread and potatoes at a truck stop leaves you with very little on the plate to eat.NavigatorWife, DSK333 and Oldironfan Thank this.
