Yes, i think i know a little about UPSF

Now, everything here a largely dependent on each individual terminal, but i think i can give some generalities:
1) It's ok; For a driving job, i think it ranks up there as one of the best (as with most other LTL P+D positions) despite traffic, annoying customers, inside deliveries etc.
2) Anywhere from 8 to 21; i'm counting "stops" as deliveries AND pickups. If just deliveries, then 8-17.
3) Almost anything, but it's mostly on pallets. No class 1 explosives.LtlAnonymous and bigmotor1212 Thank this. -
It's one of the few places where a P&D driver can make over 100k a year. Very few tandem tractors. Around here, most routes run on a 48ft or smaller.
LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
You can make 100k ar ups parcel not freight. A guy at my company left here to go to ups freight and he came back after a few months. Said he wasn't making enough there (southern ca)

Is ups freight ( white tractors)
And ups Brown.
The same company just different divisions? -
You gotta get some seniority to make 100k a year doing p&d at UPSF. Couple months isn't nearly enough time. Same with UPS package.
After you hit top rate with some seniority you can make over 100k at both. UPS package being easier to achieve thatLtlAnonymous and darthanubis Thank this. -
Just had a supervisor come to us from ups freight. He was a jockey so different obviously but said minimum 60 hour weeks, which I think why he moved on, wanted more time with family. Said he was topping at $28/hour with ot after 8 hours. So if the jockeys are doing that good, gotta imagine drivers doing good too.

The original UPS purchased Overnite Transportation in 2005. Overnite was national LTL carrier owned by Union Pacific. They operate as two different companies, because profits are so much better on the parcel side, due to the lack of competition in that sector.driverdriver Thanks this.

Starting local pay at UPS Freight is 17.20. Top pay is 28.65, it takes 4 years to reach it. There are drivers working 12 hours a day, at time and a half after 8 hours. That's well over 100k.
