Do you have no sense of smell? Even rest area stink.

I keep the windows rolled up and the APU on so I don't hear the phone "conversation" from 4 trucks down. I could wake up and think there is a fight going on, turns out it's just some guy talking to his wife. Not an argument, just a "normal" conversation....

Seems like 1 in 5 people are Loud Howard.

    Because temperature changes!
I went to bed around 7PM when it was 72 outside. You think that 5 hours later in a middle of a night I will get up just to shut truck down cause it's 62? Nope! So that how you ended up with people idling truck, cause when they went to bed it was to hot outside.

I try to shut my truck off. I ran over 500 miles when I shut down at the truck stop. Motors hot, blacktop is hot, the sun is shining on my truck turning it into a greenhouse even if it's 65 outside. I have those tiny vents in my bunk. Company doesn't have an APU installed so I let the truck run. Can't roll the windows down because I don't want flys or misquotes inside. If I get up in the night I may shut it off. If not tough.

Have you seen all that body fat that most drivers have?
Gets real hot real quick. Gotta keep that AC pumping at all times.

Hebron OH last night, about 70 deg with about 60% humidity. 25% of the trucks were idling, including Billy Big Rigger with his ancient W900L cat with straight pipes parked next to me. Had a chance to have a casual conversation about his dog the next AM. Well, tried, he was deaf as a post.

    Sir, do you even drive?

If not, then you have a hell of a lot of nerve taking a cheap shot like that towards those whose circumstances about which you cannot possibly have the slightest idea.
