He had such a pure voice. I always like the gentle giant, especially when he cameo’d in Smokey and the Bandit.

 

I kick myself sometimes.... I'd listened to him for years. My sister plays a little guitar..played his songs all the time. I use to play a lite but I've forgot everything... But there is a dang nice acoustic over in the corner.... Anyway...

My father-in-law was a huge fan....after he passed we had tickets....sixth row in a 3k seat venue. I was to sick to go

We was gonna go see him but he passed a couple months before the show

Till this day I beat myself up about that.

 

We gon’ westbound.

Grabbing fuel in Earle and then we will see how far I can push it...

 

We are up and headed out.
Going to PV Donuts with the family this am. The girls been talking about it for a year. So we are going on a adventure.. gonna check out a nearby college for the oldest one real quick afterwards.

I was thinking of doubling up the square tube from the bottom (floor) to about 1/2 way up or, 6” past where the flange starts on the opposite side? The tube is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 3/16”. think that would have the same effect?

 

Speaking of seeing some of the good ones before they pass on, last year I went to see Bobby Bare. Man he was GREAT! Very funny guy.

Hes coming back here in August and me and the wife will go see him again. Hes in his 80s, but he still knows how to entertain. Hes one of my all time favorites.

 

Made it through Wore territory unscathed by that thunderstorm...
