Wow, I have talked with these companies plus a few and are they all telling the truth? Perfect answers for the most part. Western Region, just everything sounds too good and it's gonna be hard to choose.

    Any insight?

    Thanks!

Lowest pay is .43 a mile highest is .52. Full benefits and for my husbands level of experience he would be at .43 to .46. Not enough difference for the pay per mile to matter so it has to come down to something else. They all with the exception or I don't know yet about Tri-State Motors, are the Western States, some only 3-4 and 2 of them are all 11 western. So anything else good or bad. Things important to us are being able to have more than 2 days off after being out for 3 weeks, would like to have 4 if your ran really hard. Other than that one company pays detention in some cases, well it sounded like mostly starting 3 and 4 hours after you've been sitting already and that didn't sound good...We want this to be the last stop. Or at least a really long one. So, having a good dispatch, other workers to meet and feeling like part of a team matter.

    Screw pennies per mile.

Find a driver. Ask what they paid taxes on last year.

Most of those will be 50-55k. All the rest is smoke and mirrors.

I used to work for dhe. They are raising the pay again to .48 cents a mile if you have experience.

Why did you leave them? They offered a job but I felt uncomfortable. They wanted him to spend 2 days driving around downtown CA. That's a waste if his time and money No accidents and his experience with a drive test should do it. Felt like signs if micro management.

I worked there for almost 2 years;August 2016 to june 2018. They are a small company, like 50 trucks doing truckload. Their ltl, port, distribution operation is much larger.

The job was easy, drive, deliver load safely and on time. I let the stress/negativity get to me and just got tired of working...lack of sleep, time mismanagement on my part.

They pay alright if you are willing to work and not complain about every single load. They always asked me to spend all day moving empties and doing local runs around los angeles. They will pay you hourly if you end up doing local all day, $20 an hour. Then the next day you might do a regional run.
