Whoops!!I installed the high performance one that was off my 3406-E onto the 6nz no issues. But don't know if its the same with other situations. No wastegate on this one.

So what have you noticed for improvements if any? Mpgs? Throttle response? Less smoke? Power? EGT temps?
-
Its more responsive. Fuel mayby little better, but i put turbo on before i put trk on the road. My 93 pete was totaled and was removing my "special" things i had on it. Fuel comparisons where to my 3406. Also have pitts power box and ceramic exhaust manifold on this one now. Had power box on 3406, but not the ceramic exhaust. I don't drive it hard and fast, figure all good if i get 6-6.2 mpg in summer.

Oh if i dial up the box ot will puff smoke when i shift, never while running. Same with EGT high dial more heat, and tons of boost. Usually stick at 3rd setting out of 7 settings on the box. High settings are quite vigorous , i might say. Hard on engine, but fun once in awhile.Oldironfan Thanks this.

So what are the costs involved for the switchblade?
-
Snake oil, its for people that dont know how to spec turbos properly.Diesel Dave and snowman_w900 Thank this.
-
Are you sure? It seems like a simple VGT turbo very few parts. And flows like a non wastegate turbo when engine is at speed. Very interesting.
-
I thought @Oxbow had a thread about trying that turbo but decided against it. Or was I mistaken?
-
Anyone have a cost of it?
-
I haven't tried one, but was curious about them.SAR Thanks this.
