They're a second chance company for drivers with criminal records/ex-cons or driving violations.
Teams from the east coast to California/Pacific Northwest/West Coast and back, over and over.
From what I've found out, their main freight is frozen chickens from the Carolinas to the West Coast and produce back to the East Coast. That freight can vary, but that's their main freight.
Several of their drivers, current & former, post on here and will probably see your thread and give more details.
A few drivers complain about the company, but forget Carolina Cargo hired them when no other company would and now they have a driving career ahead of them. They should appreciate that and not forget where they came from.

They have redone their website, and it seems they may have gotten tired of Chinatown s recommending rejects from the industry to rekindle their driving careers there

Not me; they had a recruiter visiting cdl schools in the Carolinas looking for students with criminal records. She used to post on here. That was their pitch, something like, "If you have a criminal record, ex-con, bad MVR, we might give you a chance."
PI&I Motor Express even has a deal with prisons for inmates to attend cdl school and then they'll hire them when they are released. One of their drivers called me a liar on here, so I Googled it for him and posted the articles about that.

Everyone I have ever met who drove for them was having a blast just driving and were thankful for the job. They knew what the game was and they were just playing their position. You aren’t going to make a ton of money there to be sure. But if they are the only option, what you need is time and experience, more than a lot of money. Do your time and get on out.

They keep you in the hole 1 - 2 trips that you don't get paid for until you quit. Then i've heard of driver's losing that because they wont pay it. Strictly teaming there to the West coast & back. 3 round trips to get a few days off. High turnover & low CPM.

I certainly don't advocate the company for a career, although a few of the drivers say there's guys there that have been there over a decade and like it just fine.
It's ok for drivers with a rough background and a chance to get started to prove themselves. After 3 mos. or so, there's other companies that will hire them then.
Warren Buffet, one of the richest men in the world, started out making sandwiches at home and selling them on the street.
