Go on the Stewart's website. If there's nothing on there about gas driver jobs, they aren't hiring.
Used to be the trucks were terminaled in Saratoga, loaded mostly in Albany or Troy.
When I worked at ARG in Troy, we did a LOT of Stewart's. I applied with Stewart's, never heard back.
10 years ago it was a good gig if you could get it. Can't say now.cavigu Thanks this. -
They have info on their website. $24 an hour night driver, 6pm start time.
Private message me if you would like more infocavigu Thanks this. -
Yes, I know what they're offering for pay and benefits and hours. I was looking for info about how the company is to work for. If the management is ok, if they follow through on what they say they will give you, work life balance, etc

Thank you. I have an interview tomorrow. I hope it's still a good gig. It sounds like it's good from what they say. I just know a lot of times you can't always trust what they tell you. I can't seem to find anyone that drives for them, the gas delivery side of it.homeskillet Thanks this.

Yeah, the Stewart's drivers were polite when you'd see them at the loading rack, but they kept to themselves.
Of course, with the 14-hr unstoppable clock, ain't no one got time to hang. Gas loading racks used to be a lot of fun....not so much anymore. I'm glad it's behind me. I wish you the best, and good luck with it!!W900AOwner Thanks this. -
That's for darn sure. The terminals in Albany, Rennselaer and Glenmont (I loaded at 'em ALL, for many years,) were always a good gig. If you had to wait in line, usually you'd be there with at least 1 or 2 guys you know and see daily and would hang around and chat. Now it's a free for all to get under there, get loaded and fly. It's a real shame.
Used to be a fun gig to stop and have breakfast or coffee with 2-3 other tanker yankers every single morning...that's gone.
I got out of petroleum hauling 2 years ago. Miss some of it, don't miss some of it. Up my neck of the woods it's a little tougher job, as everything I did comes from Albany EAST to Vermont, NH, western Mass., so you're going over a mountain in both directions rain, shine, sleet, hail, ice and snow every day in some capacity. Not like it's all flat going. So that's another reason I decided to bail out was the new stupid chain up law that Vt imposed on route 9 from Searsburg to Bennington. I wasn't gonna lay in snow and slush to chain up for 16 miles and then pull them off again 4 times a day...uuh uhhh. Didn't pay THAT good, lol.cavigu and homeskillet Thank this. -
I loaded at all those, too. Hauled gas in Detroit then moved to Albany. If you were in there between 2003 and 2006, we probably crossed paths!
Did you drive for COCO, by chance? What you describe sounds like their lanes. -
No, I was an owner op with a few of them. JP Noonan, Abenaqui, and SL Dudley back in them days. I'm sure we crossed paths many days not knowing it.homeskillet Thanks this. -
I have been searching for info on Stewarts shops fuel hauling. Wondering if you took the job with them and are still employed there? I put in an application and received an email too schedule an interview
