Reading part of this reflects a good idea when returning a truck. Take photos of it with a date, parked on their lot, and make sure you have photos of the shop or something in the background to prove its the company lot. Take photos all around the truck to prove there was/is no damage. Good idea.
My personal opinion-never trust any company and always keep the back door open.
Werner is one of the worst companys

I know this post is a bit old but anyhow; Werner used to be a top company back in the cabover days, around the late 80's early 90's they started downhill. Thirty five or 40 years ago, they would not touch you if you did not have a full year OTR experience. I believe many good old companies went off track when the megas came on the scene, and a new, less experienced, less moral, a less faithful bunch of people entered the industry at all levels lowering standards and duty across the board. -

I went to orientation with Werner. Was lied to straight out of the gate, on the second day. So, I rolled out.

My wife was going to ride with me. It was a deal breaker. I wanted to do a dedicated route, hauling glass out of TN. They assured me truck is a full size truck. Get to orientation find out glass haulers get put in trucks with small sleeper, basically day cab with a bed cause loads are heavy.
I told them wouldnt work. They then told me I could run 3M out of Chi town. I agreed to do that.
Then was told otr or nothing, said nothing and bounced.Lonesome Thanks this. -
