Truth be told it will be 98% streaming Spotify. The other apps are heart rate and stuff that is recording and doesn't need attention. After being in a close call while talking on the phone and driving years ago I stopped doing that.

I got the samsung gear s3 frontier, i like it. It is a true smart watch with a full digital screen using the same technology as their phones. Literally thousands of different watch faces can be downloaded

IluvCATS and Maj. Jackhole Thank this.

Do you have to be smart to wear a smart watch?

I have a Fitbit Blaze. Band broke first day but my wife wisely had purchased an aftermarket one and gave it to me with the watch. Various face layouts to choose. Easy to read texts. Battery for 2-3 days. Has Exercise feature I like because it will tether with phone for map and timing on laps. I enjoyed looking at sleep patters for first few weeks but it's pretty bulky for sleep. "Relax" and "Fitstar" features not really used but timer can be useful for cooking if you don't want to have your phone around wet/dirty surfaces. I use an iPhone 6S Plus with it.

I linked the device app with "My Fitness Pal" app by Under Armor because MFP is easier to use for calorie counting but having the calories burned/steps automatically import makes it all very simple. Overall I like the device and would recommend it.

I always thought it was smarter to wear a watch that's worth more 12 years after you buy it than what you originally paid for it.
    That's better than free.

For the watch connoisseurs out there, there is a subscription based system that starts at $29 a month. They will send you a watch that is worth at least double what your monthly dues are. If you get into the top tier program at $299 a month your guaranteed a watch valued at $500 to $1500. The top tier also entitles you into the monthly drawing for a Rolex or Tag Haure. Ive looked into it and actually considered the lowest tier just to try it out, but decided against it. My cousin does this and just sells the watches he doesnt like. Several times hes made money over his subscription costs.
