Thinking bout heading to the fields. I tried in 2015 up in ND but everything I was told was a lie. I want to make 2k a week, but I don't want any violations for overweight. I'm not sure where the money is best at and in what.
Curious bout where to go

$2,000 a week driving a truck ? Better try the oil feild again or be a trainer for $1,600 and running the truck 22-24 hours a day

Folks tend to only work in ND oilfields April though Oct. And quit because of the extream Temps in the winter. So is the money really worth it?

Hiring in Goodyear and PHX, and GSF was recently as well. Last GSF guy I saw looked pretty relaxed and happy, just hanging out in the sun with a McD's manager after an unload.Mike2633 Thanks this.

North Dakota winter just means you need to dress for the weather. 1 layer of clothes for every 20 degrees. 5 layers of clothes and you don’t even notice the 10 below

You've got that right. I live about a mile and a half from a McLane warehouse and they've been running ads the last 2 years or so, and lately they've went as far as running ads on the tube as well on the radio. I went and did the driving test and everything and got cleared, but didn't make the jump over there about 4 or 5 months ago. The wild board as a new driver just didn't sound to appealing to me. Literally having no life, and not being able to make any family plans on ANY day of the week until you "get a run" was the deal breaker for me.

Don't know any guys that have retired from food service. It tends to be hard on the knees and back. Maybe that's why food service is always hiring.
