You don't say where you are at, but Knight does Kroger store deliveries. (Among other things.) Those are all day cabs coming out of Dayton, OH I believe. Well at least around here they are.
So I know from friends to do the opposite (I.e. Flint to Dayton and back) that it is about a 12 hour day. So you will likely get a run that has a set time, and every store is different so the DC isn't shipping 100 stores out at the same time. Say something like 13:00 to 01:00 every day. Or could be 03:00 to 15:00 every day. It just depends on how they assign runs and what you get.

Don't hurt to try it. Give it a shot, may be the best, or worst thing but you'll never know till you try it. If you end up doing 10-12 deliveries and 2-3 pick ups a day..well youll burn out pretty quick. If is 4-5 hrs out, relay and 4-5 hrs back its gravy. Or a D&H in the AM and D&H in the afternoon. and done..never know till you try

I changed from a cushy dedicated OTR run to local a few months ago and it was the dumbest move I've ever made. Longer hours, much harder work, and home every night is great as long as you don't mind being too tired to talk to your family and only want to go to bed so you can get up at 5 am and do it all over again.
Don't forget the added cost of gas from home to your truck. Instead of once a week you just multiplied your personal fuel consumption by five.
You can potentially make more money if you change to an hourly wage with overtime from mileage pay, but like I said, you work hard for it.
