What I meant was I never use a warranty because the fix is cheap most of the time, like a bad soldering issue. If you have a burnt 2312 or 1969 final, for years they were $6. Pay him $20 and be back 10-8. Solder joint issue? Not worth the price of shipping. Tap on the board with a screwdriver, find the cold joint, solder it up, usually free of charge.

I usually buy my radios on the internet new, although I will pick one up off a friend if it’s in good shape and they are selling.

I took mine out 1 week ago. I admit I enjoy no longer having hear everyone complain about my driving.

    Get one. It's a necessity.

You may need it to help keep people safe.

Report accident ahead, besrs ,road hazards, vehicles on shoulder, etc.

Or you might need to let people know YOU are on the shoulder just past the top of the hill where people can't see you in advance.

    Get a radio....if you're not gonna talk,at least monitor it(keep it on)
