    How do you folks feel about having dash cams in your trucks?

    There's a relatively inexpensive cam at Wal-Mart I've been kicking around the idea of purchasing.

    Is it a good idea to have a dash cam in the truck?

    You need to protect yourself from those who are preying on the truckers, have you seen all the adds by lawyers saying they will go after truckers for a accident?

    I use my GoPro. after driving for a little while, Ill delete the file if not needed. The dashcam did save me Dec 2017. A car drifted over and hit my front wheel. He told the cop I hit him. I showed the cop the video. Now the video didnt show who hit who, but it did show I never left my lane. So the car must have hit me. $4500 in damages to my truck that his insurance is paying for.

    It will help downloading a file( to phone or tablet) in case you need a copy for insurance reasons. Other wise it could get erased being left on dash cam.
