If you are wanting to stay out and make maximum system money other terminals might be a better choice. I have heard drivers complain about being routed back to Greer before they wanted to go home. They said the TM did it to cover terminal loads.

If you are good with 60K and lots of home time it's probably a good fit. Should be lots of out and back.

Only way to know for sure is pick up the phone and call the terminal manager.

I should also clarify that it was explained to me that they were not big on keeping you out very long and it varied term to term. Just read some saying 2-4 weeks and the other 2-3 days if that.

Overall I have been extremely happy with getting through the process as well as the fact it was straight of school. Beyond thankful and just ready to make some $$$$$$

The company line is 7-10 days out but it different terminal to terminal.

In High Point we have some guys who stay out weeks at a time and others like me who want to be home more. Just communicate what you want and they will try to give it to you within reason. Still got to cover the freight though.

The newer trucks are all auto. The only 10 speeds are the older Macks and the few remaining International Prostars. As far as staying out running system it depends on the terminal. A lot of them are shorthanded and want their drivers back asap, and if you are new they tend to keep you closer to home.
