I know someone who did this. The place he was running out of did small order and custom cut steel.

    The company is Ruan.

What you will be doing is going to locations that have drivers on vacation, out on leave or just can’t keep drivers. For what ever reason, the facility has a driver shortage.

According to dave, you drag in at like 3:30, 4:00 am monday to get started. Load will need securement and tarping. Then hit the road.

The actual job is running delivery routes.
The truck is loaded Sunday / Monday morning, you then deliver to various shop locations. The routes can be 2 to 3 days, some less, maybe just overnight. You may come back empty, maybe not, depends on where you are. Then do it again tomorrow.

You will have a day cab, possibly a small sleeper truck and an open deck trailer. So yes, you will be tarping, untarping the load several times.

You will also be getting the carp loads/routes no one wants.
