You had better hope that you get traffic school for that ticket. "Exhibition of Speed" is a big fine in California because of all the stupid kids who do burn-out side shows on city streets. I've heard of the fines being as high as $2,000. This won't look good on your record for potential employers for the next 3 years.

 

This will show up as a misdemeanor. You should get an attorney and try to get it reduced or dropped. I don't believe this one is eligible for traffic school.

 

Get a lawyer. If you value your CDL once you get it, lawyer up and have your cousin pay HALF of it. Unless you could represent yourself but I would get an attorney.

Long time ago one of us got like 12 of those in less than a year, with another 14 speeding tickets thrown on top of that.

you SHOULD HAVE gotten that ticket, for a burnout in a car that is not a REAL muscle car, but a puny 4 cylinder, front wheel drive, fart car.......(according to your avatar)

Yes and no the Porsche 959 just shattered a 30 year old test track record by a full minute. It's a 4 banger. But puts out almost 800 HP. Top speed is about 225 mph.
