Poor Fuzzy. Sounds to me like you should stop patting yourself on the back and climb down from mount peterbuilt. Your job was to train and not sit back, wait to sleep, and look for a reason to fail someone. You could have recommended more training.

stay away from here, Werner is truly evil

Are you currently employed with Werner?

I was till about 2pm today

In my humble opinion this is what you can do. Listen and read everything that you can from employees from any company that you are considering. Take all of it with a grain of salt... Then do your homework. Find out everything you can about the companies. Find out about their financial stability especially important in this weak economy. Ask about driver longivity. Drivers don't stay where they aren't treated decently. Be sure to find out about pay (we all work for reward), benefits, bonus, and anything to do with the bottom line. Do NOT be afraid to ask anything that you want to know. They aren't going to be shy about finding out everything about you, don't be shy about getting information about the carrier. Ask about the training program and when you go solo. Compare carriers, then make what you consider to be the right choice for you. Please do remember one thing, it is seems to good to be true, it usually is.
Best of luck and don't let the negatives on here outweigh the positives. I'll be looking for work mid April and that's what I am going to do. -
Were you a driver or did you do another job for Werner? Would you mind sharing your experiences?

It sounds like you have a gift. You'd be happy anywhere. Not to be taken lightly!
Just imagine how overjoyed you'd be working for any of these other companies with higher percentages of positive posts. -
i was informed by safety that I am no longer able to continued to be retained by Werner Enterprise due to the fact that they are changing and have changed the policy (mind you I have been there 4 mnths and my record was good enough to hire me then) and since in 06 I was terminated by Knight Transportation due to making a U-turn which violated the whole U-turn policy thing companies are adopting. Well instead of reporting terminated due to violation of company policy they reported me as a unsatisfactory safety record and since Werner is one of the companies on a layoff/firing spree they are constantly changing things to justify it if they can. Basically I was told the "new" policy no longer allows them to hire or retain anyone who has any safety related issue on their record. Funny thing is in 4 mnths I did nothing wrong to that truck and had 100% ontime record. But in the days of cost cutting and policy changes to justify it I just became one of the statistics like on this site. Sad part is there is nothing else on my record so its not like there is any record to be unsatisfactory, but We Care Werner cares is only a PR campaign after that million miler almost killed that family and means nothing and Knight cares little about what they report no matter how inaccurate now I have to fight a long battle to correct it.

Since you wait over a month for a truck now = 1 or 2 months of driving. Well at least Werner is buying some new trailers -that always helps.
It actually wouldn't surprise me if you were on the Werner truck waiting list and got the training call-up.
