Yeah I’m not real fond of coax through the door either. If it’s pinched a little bit it won’t affect the receive (as far as noise), if it’s pinched bad it would be an obvious problem. If the PA switch is turned on the radios meter won’t work. I find it interesting when someone has problems like this, and you ask them some questions, and they don’t respond to your questions, so it basically becomes a guessing game. My guess is he probably had the PA switch on or the coax not connected, or the antenna wasn’t installed correctly. Hard to say.
