Well here I sit. First time I've had to sit this long for a load. May have to wait till Sunday to move again. Good thing is, I'm going to Florida. Bad thing is, I'm going to Florida. Hope I don't have to sit there to long to get out. Been there twice now. Waited 2 days the first time and had one waiting the second time. Sure hope the economy picks up tho since its a Tyson load, may have been sitting anyway.
Did manage to find a wally world and spent way to much money. Finally getting the chance to set my truck up like I want. Still have more money to spend tho since I still need some pots and pans and microwavable dishes plus a microwave and a hot plate. Should be able to survive with that. #### tired of truck stop food for sure
TransAm wasn't too bad!

Not sure if you already have one but a crock pot works amazing in a truck. Throw in a little pork or beef roast w/ some vegetables, seasonings, water and bouillion cubes or whatever you want, at the end of your driving shift you have dinner
Lots of other recipies but wont bore you in case you already do this!!!

thumper i hope you made it to kansas ok and all is going well for you.
i have been in trucking 8yrs and have 14yrs in the logistics business.
when i went to trucking school in 2000 it was all new to me. i like to help new drivers coming into the industry as much as i can.
Ive made some mistakes along the way and if i can help keep someone from makeing the same mistakes i will do my best. im still learning as we all do all of our lives.
one thing i have learned is when you get a ticket for transportation to your propestive employee. you already know where you are going for orientation. so ALWAYS check your ticket. I have been fortunate enough that this has not happened to me. i advise everyone to keep yourself informed on your industry.
if this is your first company congrats and welcome to the trucking industry. just absorb all that you can. -
Nope, no crockpot. Hadn't even thought about it. Feel free to give up any recipe you wish. I ain't proud and will take help from anybody. Have been a bachelor all my life so never really had anyone to teach me how to cook. Is there a good crockpot cookbook out there? Before trucking came along, if it didn't come out of a can or couldn't be nuked, didn't get done. hehehebillsgirl Thanks this.

Hmmmm, beginning to think I might be bipolar. When I'm runnin and making money, I'm happy. When I'm sitting and waiting on a load, I'm sad. Is that bipolar? hehehehe
Tyson, just gotta love them. NOT. Am sitting in a small truck stop at the moment and there are at least 11 bobtails sitting here and who knows how many more at the Tyson's bob tail lot. Something just ain't right when that many people are just sitting around waiting. -
it wouldn't be the tyson in amarillo tx would it lol

Nope. This one was a distribution center in MO. Found out that we bring the stuff into there, then have to wait to take some stuff out of there. Can find more details on what happened on another post I made.

Is there any one out there that is a company driver for trans am for more than 8 months? I would like to hear from you.
-
Can anyone tell me if Trans Am runs regional, dedicated, or some other alternative that results in more frequent home time?
-
They have a regional division out of Rocky Mount, NC. You have to live within a 200 mile radius of there. They do alot of NYC and run up and down the eastern seaboard.
