Do you think once a criminal always a criminal?

 

With that sort of charge on your record I’d have to wonder if you’re able to handle stressful situations. Maybe you deserved the charge, maybe you didn’t. But at the end of the day a charge is still a charge.

 

You owe it to no one on here to explain any more than what you have......theres always gonna be those who judge.....

As far as your trucking career, just keep searching.

Man don't give up. There's always going to be people judging and talking smack just ignore them.

Everybody makes mistakes. And those ones that are judging you the harshest they're probably the ones still making the worst mistakes.

You did your time you paid your penance just keep going. Keep your chin up Against All Odds bud.

But definitely look into vocational rehab through your the county or state employment service man they will definitely hook you up.

 

Look into railroad work, they are hiring and have jobs need a cdl. CSX and Norfolk southern run there. Jobs that need CDL are track, car repair, and signal construction.

 

I say small fleets like 5 to 7 trucks. Some of them are less than good to work for. Some are top notch to work for. It's hit or miss. That said it may give you the start your looking for.


Not every one will be hung up on the charge, some will look at how you have conducted your self since getting out.

 

Norfolk Southern Intermodal hires known criminals for sure. A gang of thugs who terrorized Jacksonville, FL when they weren't working at a Quick Lube across the state line in Kingsland, GA moved en masse and were employed as a group at the Norfolk Southern Intermodal Yard in Charlotte, NC. Told my employer the story and advised I would start carrying a sidearm after their 'leader' made overt, verbal threats towards me. My employer kept me out of there.

 

I never said I was judging him. Just stating the facts. Truck drivers are a dime a dozen. I hardly doubt I’m making worse mistakes. I’m not judging him, but let’s be honest here, it’s not going to be easy.
