From what I've read there's not much to look forward to as a rookie living in FL. Either way that's what I'm facing. If there are any drivers out there that could help point me in the right direction as to a semi-decent company that is willing to hire recent grads out of Central FL. I would appreciate all the input you could provide. I've already applied to Sygma, Ruan, Roehl, Sunstate and Ozark. They are either not currently hiring or not hiring out of FL without 6 mo. experience. If you have to, please PM me. Thanks in advance!!!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Any Suggestions for Grads. out of FL

I am guessing you have no exp. and just recently got or are working on getting your CDL. Is that right? If that is the case it is really tough to find a good driving job. Not being the best company around but swift is hiring new drivers only right now, so you qualify for that. As for florida itself you will need a twix card and hazmat endorsement (tanker will help also) for any kind of decent job here now. Not sure about your area but up here with those items jobs will be a little bit easier to get. You can also try truckersplus and gpc staffing services. They are mainly for drivers. Not sure how much experience , if any they require. Good luck man.panhandlepat Thanks this. -
I am a recent graduate... what I've read so far has helped me to realize that it is not likely I'll find a good driving job strolling out of school. I accept that I have to earn that position... that's only fair and I'm okay with that. I'm just trying to do as much research as I can to make the most informed and hopefully painless transition possible. I appreciate the information you and every other member of this sight are providing me with, immensely. With this said, I hope to find the best of the worst if not better that are willing to hire recent grads. in my area. One day I hope to return the favor to fellow drivers. Thank You All.
P.S. What is a TWIX Card? -
