I've got a year of experience and need to get away from the current mega that I work for, the problem is I earned myself a felony 5 years ago. Haven't had any screw ups since I've been out and have a current TWIC that I received (I can work in the oil field of S. Louisiana ie Exxon, but I can't haul toilet paper)
I live near Charlotte, NC and am looking for a company who's security division will give me a chance. Preferably a local route so I can be home for my 5 month old twins.
Any help out there will be greatly appreciated!

Atlantic Bulk Carriers has a terminal in Charlotte.
Don't know how home time is; they use sleeper trucks; maybe some day cabs; I don't know.
OK, found a picture of day cab; maybe they do have local work also. -
I’ve worked for DLI for 6 years now and recommend it to anyone wants to work less than 50 hours per week, even if that doesn’t mean breaking the bank.
One thing I’d like to add to that is that they are generous with the times. 11pm-8:40am is probably more like 11:15/11:30pm to 8:00/8:15am as long as you work at a decent pace. Usually you leave a little past your dispatch time, especially on Mondays, but you can shave an hour off overall of their estimated “shift”. I start at 10:15/10:30pm to load my truck (you get extra pay for that) and usually leave around 11:30, and come back around 7:30am on average. My estimated shift per the route is 11:15pm-9:00am, so I shave off some time.
If you can get by on $975 per week, then it’s not that bad considering you’d be working less than 45 hours per week.
