News reports a tractor trailer hit a penn dot truck in a construction zone. The trucker drove through orange cones and hit the dot truck. I 80 shut down for hours.

If we're letting Trucking In Tennessee get away with posting photos of his television in lieu of links to articles then I think we can cut Pumpkin some slack here, lol

I dunno. It's becoming common practice for 4 wheelers to want to get in front of the truck before the lane drops, no matter how fast the truck is moving or how much space isn't available for them to do it safely. I'm the kind of driver that's going to hold my lane and speed and let them decide for themselves whether or not they made a wise decision. Leaving my lane and / or altering my speed would open me up to liability should something bad happen. Some drivers will leave their lane and take the hit to avoid smashing up the idiot 4 wheeler.

Well I would argue in that case, the truck driver was still going to fast approaching a work zone with vehicles and personnel visible. Speed should not be such that somebody cutting in would require such a drastic evasive action
