Ms. and Mr. RC, hope you are doing well. Very sorry I haven't had much time to read all the comments or post anything. Have been hectic here since last Tuesday. Got on Walmart dedicated (a dear friend helped me with that
). So, new dispatcher assigned me a trk (pretty bad shape trk). Cleaned that filthy truck (they paid me for that) and took it to shop. On Wednesday, mechanic said would take 3 to 4 days... DSP said, "that's too long, check these other two." So, I picked another trk (better shape but even filthier). Had to clean it too and move all my things (all night doing that) and fixed what I could by myself to avoid going in the shop. Now I am on the road. They already gave me 3 load assignments. Enough to keep me busy until middle of the week.

isnt it a shame that Covenant drivers have to revert to "camping out" just to be able to eat and take care of their basic needs ? theyre given the responsibility of operating and maintaining a $150,000 + rig but are treated like theyre operating a #### covered wagon ..... "AMERICAN GREED , DONT WE ALL LOVE IT?"

Mrs RC hope everything goes well for you mom. I lost my dad, back in 91 from cancer of the brain. It started out were he was parking his car in the driveway, and his brain did not register hit the brake so he ended up taking out the deck. The doc thought he had a stroke. Well after test they found he had two tumors on his brain. One was on the brain stem, it was real small and it would be taken care of with cemo and radiation. He was told that if they did try to remove it, then he would be a vegetable.
Well when they went to remove the other one, they doctors were surprised that the other one grew to the size of a baseball all from the oxygen after he was opened up. Well that was the one that did him in. -

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! --- Gomer Pyle
So I get a phone call from Redcoat and guess where he's headed from PA? They have two drops in Lavergne, TN and then a third drop in......<wait for it>.... HUNTSVILLE!
Who woulda thunk it. So they didn't breathe a word to their dispatcher that it's where I'm currently located...well actually I'm in Athens but close enough...because they didn't want to jinx themselves.
They made the drop this morning and QC'd their DM that they'd be ready to go again at 6 Sunday morning. Then they made the trek 30 miles to the RV park where I'm at and they've been taking it easy all day. Redcoat got all his laundry done, they've both had a good shower and I made them spaghetti for dinner. I offered the couch to Redcoat's teammate for a warm place to sleep but he elected to sleep in the truck in case anything came over the QC. Says the dog keeps him warm.
My guess is they probably won't get anything till Monday so they should be good and rested up by then ready to get back out on the road earning.
And that's all my news.AfterShock Thanks this. -
That is great that Redcoat gets to spend time with you

Latest update.
Team Redcoat got the word today around 2 this afternoon to deadhead to Memphis to repower a load. Initially they thought that they were just being moved so the company wouldn't have to pay them layover pay but after they left, they were told the rest of the story. So they have to swap trailers somewhere near Memphis and then take the load to Wisconsin. Redcoat wasn't sure where but will post it once I find out. They have a 12-hour window to get it there (between 8 and 8 tomorrow) so he's pretty sure they'll make it on time barring any breakdowns, etc. But hey, at least the wheels are rolling again without it taking two weeks to get moving so that's a good thing.
I sold 4 pictures today so I made about $250 in 5 hours' work. Now if I could do that every day, we'd be all right.
And that's pretty much it. Stay tuned. -
From the sounds of Mrs. RC it looks like their making a little money anway. Hope it continues and you two can finally be able to afford at least living for a little while longer....
