Rent to own a truck!

There will be some that will jump all over it....

 

I seen a truck in dallas that had that to . Oh i had to check site out to see this bs and it wouldnt go to site so not sure the deal

 

Yup people still do that for various reasons. Common for home, TVs, appliances, and furniture as well. You end up paying 2-3 time as much for it in the end.

 

Back when I was in the excavation business. There was a local used equipment dealer that would rent you a machine and put 100% of the rental toward the purchase, for up to 90 days if you so choose. I think after 90 days only 80% of the rent went to the purchase. A agree the 80% deal is too much, that's the same as a 20% interest loan.

I bought a couple of dozers from him and with both I rented them for a month before I purchased. I always just figured it as a good way to try out a machine before you bought it. If you kept it, you had already paid some on it. If you sent it back, you were just out one month's rent.

Rent to own may not be that bad a deal, depending on what the terms are.
