Depends on where the axles are placed, the size of tires and the spread from 1-4 and if any are steerable, and how much weight is on them. Short answer is they are a little more difficult but not much.

I don't think they are much harder to back. If the axles are really spread and have a lot of weight on them you need to be careful you aren't dragging them so much during the turn that you mess up the tires. But otherwise the length of the trailer and where the axles are set in the trailer make more of a difference in my opinion.

They back like any other trailer. Extra articulations add to the difficulty.

At first, yes, they are... it's a matter of getting adjusted to it, the same as if you're running a spread axle or a tridem trailer.

if the any of the axles are setup like a tag axle, that is..... can be raised and lowered, raise the tag before backing.. we have a couple of milk tankers..... the button in my cab that says "extra" raises and lowers the tag axle
