I actually had the camera and “safety” system lock up my brakes as I was attempting a turn as bobtail at a shipper. Small back lot scrap loading facility in Adams MA. I get close to the wall, every buzzer goes off, camera starts recording, brakes lock up and refuse to move believing I collided with the wall. Turns out the stupid lip of the 18 FL had scraped some gravel

I thought I saw one in an Off-Spec Solutions truck. Can't be certain though. I for one will never drive with any company that has driver-facing cameras. I have my own road-facing dashcam to cover my own rear, but my record speaks for itself, and will not accept surveillance in my home-away-from-home. I had the auto-braking system (can't remember which now) on a Marten truck once, that was dangerously terrible. Would freak out at empty potato chip bags, stopped traffic in the next lane, guardrails on cloverleaf ramps, and cars ahead. Locked the brakes many times on wet curves and dry roads, overriding the ABS system. Left 40 foot tire marks from locked trailer brakes once when a car cut into my lane and accelerated ahead. Told the safety dept, they tried updating and re-calibrating, but it was still dangerous garbage.
mathematrucker, MACK E-6 and TheyCallMeDave Thank this. -

It's funny. Every time a Black Horse ad pops up on my Facebook I post about them having driver facing cameras. Not long after, the post is deleted.
It makes me laugh how NOT ONE COMPANY, when they tout their pay, benefits, and how "well equipped" their tractors are, mentions the fact that they have cameras looking at the drivers.TokyoJoe, ghostcookie, ColdSnap and 1 other person Thank this. -
Seems like it’s almost the new normal thing now. Half everyone out there has them apparently. Glad I don’t

Forced/Mandatory Routing
Fee’s, Fee’s, FEE’s
The money they TAKE for maintenance (.15 or .09 cents per mile) is NON REFUNDABLE
Company Fines for infractions
Goverened at 66mph cruise 70 on throttle
Trucks only idle below 30 degrees and above 95
Nice looking trucks
Cross Country Loads
Nice people
You will be told where to go and how to get there.
I was told they expect 10-11 hours of driving a day by my dispatcher.
Expect a call from your dispatcher if you take a break longer than 10hrs
They forget lease operators are their customers too.
Some drivers get LLC’s for a rented truck who’s revenue is decided by a dispatcher.ColdSnap Thanks this. -
