Anyone Work For Millis?

As far as the trucker's wife stuff, take a stroll over to the Ladies Room on here. We have a lot of trucker's wives around here, and a great support network for them. A lot of old hands and a bunch of new trucker's wives as well.

 

I would've been starting with millis but they decided they were going with a better qualified candidate( ie.. a student) no offense to anyone who is going to be starting at millis soon. I am very happy for ya, it just stunk that they passed on me because I either have too much exp. or I am no longer a student. Catch 22

i am thinking seriously of millis myself would go to school in georgia. am nervous about testing as far as permit supposed to be 670 questions . any advise i can receive is welcome . also i have no intention of looking for another job if i go to millis id like to stay with the company even after my yr is upi dont want to be one of these guys who has had 20 jobs in a lifetime .. as ive only had 2 in the past 14 yrs..i havent read any negatives to speak of about them .i am very concerned about the mileage as i have a mort,3 kids thank you

 

going to the class on 3/2/2009 in cartersville ga can anyone tell me if you get the class a license before or after you go out with the trainer had a brother went with central and he got his before he went out with a trainer also how long do you stay with a trainer before you get your own truck.thanks in advance

I will be in Cartersville on March 2. I may not be the best to answer your questions, but I will try. You will need you CDL permit before school. Three weeks of school, then out with a trainer for 4-6 weeks, to my understanding the trainer will help make the decision of when you will take the driving test. Are you paid during the 3 weeks of cdl school?

 

no, pay starts when you go with a trainer, check the Millis website for the pay rate
