Anyone have experience using a 6x2 with an rgn trailer? I’m wondering if you’d have problems getting reattached & lifting the trailer after loading?

It might make it a little more time consuming on those bad days. But it could work. Just get a little speed on an icy day.
-
Thanks. I’m thinking you might not be able to get any speed once the slack on the neck tightens up & it might just spin.
Anyone else out there ran a 6x2 with an rgn that can chime in? -
Why would you want to? We

Better mileage, lighter weight, less maintenance, less moving parts to wear out, if you can lift axle less tolls, etc.

Don’t mean #### when you can’t get the trailer off the ground. The points you’re making are freight hauler ideas in a heavy haul world.PoleCrusher, SL3406, BigCam9670 and 17 others Thank this.

It falls into the category of "just because you can... doesn't mean you should."Lepton1, 1951 ford, Nothereoften and 8 others Thank this.

That’s why I’m asking for input as to if it would work & if anyone has experience with it. Not talking heavy haul, 80k gross.

To me its a dumb idea. I can only speak for the area I'm around but I wouldn't even consider a truck without full lockups for pulling an RGN. The places those guys go to pick up and drop off equipment you'd be screwed 10 feet off the pavement with a 6x2.
Nothereoften, Oxbow, REO6205 and 1 other person Thank this.
