1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I believe he means TWIC - port entry thing. Don't know more than that. I'm sure we have a thread or two about it though!

It's another way for certain states to make more money. It's the same thing as the hazmat but with a different name. I got some info for you and if you want more just go to tsa.gov or just google twic card. Alot of useful info is there , like requirements to get the card. You will also need a passport (100$) to get the twic card. It has some crazy requirements.

It stands for Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Today, 15 US Coast Guard Captain of the Ports Zones now have a layer of security in place that did not exist months ago, significantly enhancing security at ports across the nation. At these ports US Coast Guard personnel ensure workers in secure areas have received a thorough background check and do not pose a threat. All of the nation’s ports will meet these same standards by April 14, 2009.

Go to the site and you can acquire all the info you need about it.
