Ptl review just started with them 2018

How many miles is phase 2. I was told 7500 but you're saying 30-40,000

 

Before I start driving I check my atlas, because I like to know where I’m going and Incase the gps isn’t working. That way I can still get to my destination.

 

No Updates on the newbies at PTL?

 

this guy just isnt' cut out for it. I went through the entire training phase at PTL and drove for them for 6 months. I know from experience, you can't blame PTL. They put his ### in more than likely a brand new 2018 freightliner with that trainer, and it's not the trainers fault either. A lot of us rookies need to understand that just because you get your CDL, doesn't mean that you can drive around this country in a 53 ft long semi. You can't just look at the ####ing quallcom and expect it to tell you without error which way to turn. and that's exactly what you were doing. I know exactly where this driver was at, i know exactly what load he was on. It's your fault driver. and you weren't cut out of the cloth. If you quit at PTL before you even made it out of their easy ### "training" phases, your career in trucking, will more than likely be short lived. Not trying to be rude about it. But i know. i've been there, done that. and was also a trainer there who got 3 guys into their own trucks. You know hard it is to get fired from PTL? You have to total a truck or get a trailer stuck under a bridge. You should have stayed at PTL and asked for another trainer. made it to solo and ran for at least 6 months to a year with them. Because they are not necessarily a horrible company IF YOU run hard. but that doesn't seem to be the case. You didn't see ####, and you didnt even break the ice there.
When me and my teammate got out of our trainers truck. we ran almost 14k miles in two weeks, after i got solo, i averaged 3k almost every week at PTL. averaging 1100 a week.
So before you come on here blasting a company. Why dont you take a look at yourself and see if there's anything that you can do differently to make the situation better for you?
