    Keen,

I have been dealing with Danielle for my recruiter. She said she has me set for OTR. Will I be able to switch to regional if I choose? I am in NC if that makes a difference.

Yes you can switch. There may or may not be a wait list however

Sorry to jump in, but just to clarify, the student gets .43 for every mile dispatched while with a trainer?
Also, if you stay with them for a year, all is forgiven? (Money wise).
The reason I'm asking is 5 or so years ago when I tried (but failed) at Millis, there was a flat payment per week with a trainer, and you paid the tuition / hotel fees weekly until paid off. Is there no longer a weekly deduction, or is it "x" and if you stay with them a year, whatever isn't payed is forgiven?

Again, forgive me for jumping in. Like I said, Millis didn't work out for me, so I went a different direction. However, I have a friend that's looking into such programs, and I recommended Millis to her.
    Thanks

Yes Millis has changed the oay for students in the last yr or so. .43 for all dispatched miles, and the student will pay back weekly for the school/hotel. After a yr the remaining balance is foregiving.

    Their website now says
    • Possible job offer with Millis Transfer upon graduation
So you could get stuck with the total bill for training and not even get the chance to put in your year to get your money back? At what point in the training process do they make you sign the loan documents? If you don't get hired, how is their school different than any other private trucking school?

Good to know they do not play games! @keen98 I have been trolling boards for months now, I have to give you credit for your professionalism and positive insight you give to the forum! It has helped me in deciding to choose Millis Transfer to start my second career! That and the fact that I live dead in between the NC and GA terminals! I pulled the trigger and applied this morning! Fingers crossed!

Glad to hear. You made a good choice. Training, equipment, and pay here is real good. Where you going to school then Eden or Cartersville? If you don't hear back from a recruiter by tomorrow just call and ask for Peggi. Shes an ex driver and will shoot you 100% straight.
